Excellence in music tuition for all ages and abilities

Our goal is to encourage the personal development and confidence of each student through creative music tuition. Quality music education is provided to every individual regardless of age, ability of special needs.

We aim to provide the best possible environment where each student can enjoy learning music, develop new skills, acquire new knowledge and excel in their music career.

The Music Room offers a very student centred approach to music tuition and excellent facilities. We encourage all students to sit formal examinations in their chosen instrument as this helps to focus goals and encourage progression. Students are also afforded opportunity to participate in competitions and perform at school recitals.

The Music Room School of Music was formally established in 2015 by the school’s director, Clara McCabe Raybould. Clara is an NUI Maynooth Graduate and has provided music tuition since 2003 and has over ten years experience working in the Irish secondary school system. Clara’s love of music and value of quality education has helped forge the ethos that exists in The Music Room today.

Terms & Conditions

Piano Lessons

We provide piano lessons from all levels from elementary to advanced. The lessons take place at The Music Room and last from 30 minutes and one hour depending on the student’s needs and stage of learning.

Singing Lessons

The voice is an instrument and here we offer voice training/singing lessons to help your voice reach its unique potential. Lessons are one to one, during which the tutor will work on technique with warm up exercise

Guitar Lessons

We provide guitar lessons from six years to all levels from beginner to intermediate through to advanced. The lessons take place at The Music Room and last between 30 minutes and one hour depending on the student’s needs.

Outreach Programme & Workshops

The Music Room provides an extensive outreach service to crèches, pre-schools and primary schools in the Cavan, Meath and Westmeath areas.

Early Years

The pre-instrumental course is designed to promote the basic musical skills for young children between the ages of 3 to 5 years. This course is designed in a very structured, enjoyable and stimulating way.
